Mar 28,  · Produced, written and arranged by Don Nix (Mar-Keys and Paris Pilot) at Memphis’ Ardent Studios, Moloch’s debut album is an excellent mix of hard blues and acid rock, with amazing guitar solos by Baker. It was also the first time the song "Goin' Down" appeared on record (famously covered by Jeff Beck).4/5(12).

A supremely successful combination of rock, hard blues, psychedelic acid-washed guitar solos, and blue eyed soul, Moloch is a prime example of the wildly eclectic music coming from Memphis at the time. Contains the original recorded version of the Don Nix-penned standard, "Going Down." gram LP housed in a single pocket old-school style jacket/5(11).

  4. Produced and mostly written by Don Nix, Moloch is Baker's first major presence on vinyl. It's an amalgamation of rock, hard blues, psychedelia, and white boy soul -- the Jimi Hendrix Experience meets the Box Tops with a bit of Furry Lewis influence thrown in for good measure/5(11).
